I am Mailyn Rebecca Henseler - pianist, soprano, piano teacher, publisher and visionary. With the SCHNEEMANN® piano learning system, I have created a method that inspires piano teachers and takes students on an emotional journey full of joy, enthusiasm and a deep understanding of music.
But my path to this realisation was anything but easy.
My musical journey began with the violin - an instrument that fascinated me from the very first moment. Music flowed through me effortlessly and I lost myself in the sound. But at home, at my grandfather's piano, I experienced the complete opposite. Instead of joy, I only felt frustration. The lightness I experienced with the violin had completely disappeared here.
My weekly tutor left me alone with my difficulties. His only response to my struggles with the keys was always: ‘You need to practise more!’ But practising made no progress. I was simply overwhelmed by the complexity and no one showed me the best way to deal with it.
